Solar panel dimensions, weight and cell count for every Jinko wattage class from 445 W to 735 W, with pallet sizes and what fits in a vehicle.
A solar panel has no standard size. Across the 80 models in this catalogue the length runs from 1,762 mm to 2,465 mm and the weight from 24.0 kg to 40.5 kg, and the wattage on the label does not tell you which frame you are getting: a 650 W module exists in two different lengths. This page lists every frame by wattage, straight from the product records, and then covers the two moments when dimensions really decide something: planning the roof and collecting the order.

Dimensions by wattage class
| Wattage | Model family | Length × width × thickness | Weight | Cells |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 445–475 W | 48HL4M | 1762 × 1134 × 30 mm | 24.0 kg | 96 (48×2) |
| 495–520 W | 54HL4M | 1961 × 1134 × 30 mm | 27.0 kg | 108 (54×2) |
| 525–545 W | 54QL6 | 1980 × 1134 × 30 mm | 27.5 kg | 216 (54×4) |
| 605–650 W | 66HL4M | 2382 × 1134 × 30 mm | 32.4 kg | 132 (66×2) |
| 645–670 W | 66QL6 | 2382 × 1134 × 30 mm | 32.5 kg | 264 (66×4) |
| 645–670 W SafetyKing | 66QL6-BDX | 2382 × 1134 × 30 mm | 40.5 kg | 264 (66×4) |
| 625–650 W | 78HL4 | 2465 × 1134 × 30 mm | 34.0 kg | 156 (78×2) |
| 710–735 W | 66HL5 | 2384 × 1303 × 33 mm | 37.5 kg | 132 (66×2) |
Three readings of that table are worth more than the table itself.
The width is almost always 1,134 mm. Thirteen of the fourteen families share it. Only the 710–735 W module is wider, at 1,303 mm, and it is also the only one with a 33 mm frame. So a row of panels takes the same width whichever of the thirteen you choose; what you are really choosing is the length.
Wattage does not fix the length. A 650 W panel is 2,382 mm long as a 66-cell module and 2,465 mm long as the 78-cell JKM650N-78HL4-BDV-F10. Eighty-three millimetres is enough to lose a row on a short roof, so order by model code, never by watts alone.
The same frame can weigh 8 kg more. The SafetyKing version has the footprint of the other 66QL6 modules but weighs 40.5 kg against 32.5 kg. Its record gives the reason: 2.5 mm glass on both faces, where the others state 2.0 mm.
The dimensions of a 500 W solar panel
The 500 W model in this catalogue is the JKM500N-54HL4M-BDV-F1: 1961 × 1134 × 30 mm, 27.0 kg, 108 half-cells and a stated efficiency of 22.48%. That is 2.22 m² of glass and 12.1 kg per square metre. Its five sisters from 495 W to 520 W share exactly the same frame, which is why the 495–520 W family datasheet prints one mechanical drawing for six wattages.
How much roof each one takes
The glass area follows from length times width:
- 1762 × 1134 mm: 2.00 m², up to 475 W
- 1980 × 1134 mm: 2.25 m², up to 545 W
- 2382 × 1134 mm: 2.70 m², up to 670 W
- 2384 × 1303 mm: 3.11 m², up to 735 W
A roof is never covered edge to edge, so our sizing calculator does not use these areas directly. It allows a flat 2.6 m² of roof per panel, spacing and access included, for the 545 W module it proposes; an eleven-panel array is therefore shown as about 29 m² although its glass is 24.7 m². To see how different lengths tile one real roof, read our guide to choosing panel wattage, which lays the frames out on an 8 m roof.
Pallets: the dimension people forget
Orders are collected in store in Dubai or Riyadh, so the size of the packed pallet matters as much as the size of the panel. The records state these:
| Family | Pallet (L × W × H) | Modules per pallet |
|---|---|---|
| 48HL4M (445–475 W) | 1792 × 1140 × 1249 mm | 37 |
| 54HL4M (495–520 W) | 1981 × 1140 × 1249 mm | 37 |
| 66HL4M and 66QL6 (605–670 W) | 2396 × 1110 × 1251 mm | 36 |
| 66QL6-BDX SafetyKing (645–670 W) | 2442 × 1140 × 1251 mm | not stated |
| 78HL4 (625–650 W) | 2525 × 1140 × 1251 mm | 36 |
| 66HL5 (710–735 W) | 1325 × 1121 × 2496 mm | 33 |
The 525–545 W records state no pallet size, and the 66QL6-BDV-F3 record gives the pallet without a count. Two practical points follow. A full pallet of the smallest module carries 37 × 24.0 kg = 888 kg of panels before the packaging, which is a forklift load, not a hand load. And the 710–735 W pallet is packed on edge: it is only 1,325 mm long but 2,496 mm high, so it needs headroom rather than bed length.
For a handful of loose modules, the number to check is the module's own length against your vehicle: 1,762 mm fits where 2,382 mm will not. A 24.0 kg panel can be carried up a stair by one person; a 37.5 kg panel 1.3 m wide is a two-person lift.
Thickness, frame and glass
Every frame in the range is anodised aluminium alloy. Thirteen families are 30 mm thick and the 66HL5 is 33 mm, which matters when you buy clamps: check that they are specified for the frame thickness of the model you order. Glass is 2.0 mm on the front and 2.0 mm on the back on the dual-glass modules, with the SafetyKing at 2.5 mm each side. The junction box is rated IP68 on every record.
Find the exact drawing
Each family has one datasheet page with the mechanical drawing and the full table, and each wattage has its own product page:
- 445–475 W series, the 1,762 mm frames
- 495–545 W series, the 1,961 mm and 1,980 mm frames, with the 525–545 W datasheet
- 605–670 W series, the 2,382 mm and 2,465 mm frames, including the 670 W module
- the 735 W module and its 710–735 W datasheet, the 1,303 mm wide frame
Once you know which frame your roof and your vehicle accept, the calculator tells you how many of them your loads need.
