What we hold about you, why we hold it, and how to make us delete it. Last updated: August 2026.
What we collect
Only what an order needs. When you use the contact form, ask for a quotation or register a company, we keep the name, email address, phone number, delivery address and the text of your enquiry. Visiting the site also leaves ordinary technical traces — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed. We do not ask for identity documents and we do not take card details on this site.
Cookies
Small files that let the site remember your language, keep a cart from emptying itself, and count visits in aggregate. Your browser settings can refuse them; refusing the essential ones will break the cart and the language switch. We run no advertising cookies of our own. Alongside them sits a fuller record of the visit itself. It covers the minutes a page holds you and how many of them are active rather than idle, the depth and pace of your scrolling, the pause before your first tap, the items the cursor lingers on and for how long, and every click — what it hit, where it landed on the screen, whether it repeated or did nothing at all. Pinch-zooms, passages highlighted outside form fields, printing, right-clicks and time spent on another tab are recorded on the same basis. So are the terms you type into the panel search and the filters you narrow by. Forms are logged as fields, not as answers: which field you opened, how long it kept you, whether it ended up filled. What you typed is never stored, and password and payment fields sit outside the mechanism altogether. A first-party cookie carries an identifier for the browser, valid up to two years; it identifies a device, not a person, and its job is to tell a returning visitor from a new one and to preserve the channel that first sent you. Where you are is inferred from the IP address, no finer than a city, and the satellite position of your device is never requested. Performance figures, JavaScript errors, images that failed to load, the graphics chip and the number of processor cores come with it, so that panel pages which struggle on real hardware in your market can be found. The system builder, the comparison view, the cart and the datasheet downloads keep the options chosen, the quantities set and the point of abandonment. Browser language and time zone yield an estimate of the audience you belong to — grouped reporting only, never a change to the price or the terms in front of you. The time zone does a second job as well: it tells us whether the country you are in requires our asking before measurement starts. In most of the markets we serve it does not, no banner appears, and measurement runs from the first page. And the moment a WhatsApp, phone or email button is tapped or a form submitted, the details entered travel to our sales team with the visit around them: the page, the engagement, the device and the approximate city. The analytics cookies are Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics, and what they report is pseudonymous rather than anonymous — it hangs on the same browser identifier. No advertising or profiling cookie is set, but the banner does carry an advertising switch, asked now so the question would not have to be put to everybody a second time. Where consent has to come first, the banner asks before anything is measured and nothing is measured until you answer; the essential cookies run whatever you choose, so they are not put to you. Your answer sits in a cookie called _dcc for 180 days, clearing this site's data asks it again, and the answer is written down on our side too: the date, the brand and market, the language you were reading in, how you answered, and the pseudonymous visitor identifier, kept 790 days so that what was chosen and when can be produced.
Who else sees your details
Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics receive usage figures that are pseudonymous rather than anonymised — they hang on the browser identifier described under Cookies — so we can see which module pages are actually read. Your delivery name, address and phone go to the freight company handling your pallets, because a driver cannot deliver without them. Where you have asked for an installer referral, we pass your contact details to the partner nearest you — and only then. We do not sell personal data to anybody.
How it is kept
Traffic between your browser and this site is encrypted with TLS. Enquiry records sit behind access controls and are reachable only by the people who need them to answer you. We hold what we need for as long as the purpose lasts, and no longer.
Your rights over it
Wherever you live, you may ask us to: show you what we hold; correct anything wrong; delete it; stop sending you anything promotional; hand it over in a portable file; or complain about our handling of it to your national data protection regulator. One email to sales@jinko-solar.ae starts any of those.
How long we keep it
Orders and the invoices attached to them: 7 years, which UAE commercial law requires. Enquiries that never became an order: 2 years. Website analytics and behaviour records: 26 months, then deleted automatically — while we hold them they are pseudonymous, not anonymised. Partner registrations: for as long as the company stays on the referral list, plus one year.
If you are in Europe (GDPR)
Buyers in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the wider EEA have the full set of GDPR rights — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection — and the right to complain to a national supervisory authority. Write to sales@jinko-solar.ae and we answer inside one calendar month.
UAE data protection (PDPL)
We handle personal data under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection: collected for a stated purpose, kept with your consent, and transferred across borders only where the receiving side gives it comparable protection — which for us means freight partners and nothing more.
